The advice service is aimed at people with tolerated status who are likely to benefit from a right to stay. The aim of the project is to support long-term tolerated persons in Dresden on their path to secure residence and to increase the rate at which residence permits are issued. The project supports refugees on their way to a secure residence status – for example, after a negative asylum procedure. Particular attention is paid to the issue of identity clarification and the fulfillment of the associated obligations to cooperate, because without identity clarification, many people are denied extensive (residence) legal options.
