The goal of the project is to inform young refugees in Leipzig and the surrounding area about the legal regulations currently significant in their lives and thus promote their individual legal awareness. The primary target group are young accompanied refugees aged 14 to 27, as well as their relatives who are not necessarily their parents and who find themselves in specific danger situations: for example, those experiencing asylum and residence law uncertainty, limited access to health and integration support services, or who are particularly endangered by accommodation in collective housing. Secondarily, the project is directed at professional and volunteer specialists and actors in the city of Leipzig and surrounding area.
Offerings:
- Group offerings (information events/training, workshops) for young accompanied refugees, their accompanying persons, and professionals
- Counseling sessions for young refugees and their accompanying persons
- Networking of professionals from refugee-specific counseling centers and actors from child and youth services
The group offerings include focuses on tasks of authorities and courts,
age assessment, rights as young adults, guardianship, care by relatives,
asylum procedures, tolerated stay, administrative procedure process, health under the Asylum Seekers Benefits Act, education and
participation benefits, family reunification, residence law for adolescents and young adults.
Additionally, the offerings can be designed according to the needs of the target group.
