The “Perspektive Bleiberecht Leipzig” (Perspective Right to Stay Leipzig) project offers individual, independent, and open-ended perspective counseling to refugees living in Leipzig. The counseling service is aimed at persons with a tolerated stay status (Duldung) who could potentially benefit from a right to stay regulation in the foreseeable future.
The project’s goal is to support long-term tolerated residents in Leipzig on their path to secure residency and to increase the approval rate of residence permits. To achieve this goal, active cooperation between the counseling center and the Leipzig Immigration Office has been agreed upon.
The project is funded by the City of Leipzig until the end of 2024 as part of the city’s support for initiatives assisting refugees from Ukraine and other regions affected by war and crisis.
