Empowerment, Digitalization and Labor Market Integration for Migrant Women

With the project “EDA-Kompakt – Empowerment, Digitalization and Labor Market Integration for Migrant Women“* the Saxon Refugee Council e.V. strengthens refugee and migrant women in Chemnitz.

Through weekly open consultation with an affiliated open computer meeting, individual support services are created. The goal is to promote digital competence, open up professional perspectives and enable social participation. The measures are low-threshold, are oriented to the concrete needs of the participants and create protected spaces for exchange and empowerment.

Many refugee women face particular challenges in integration – EDA-Kompakt addresses these with concrete solutions.

The project runs from June to December 2025 and is funded within the framework of the Local Action Plan for Democracy, Tolerance and a Cosmopolitan Chemnitz. Cooperation partners include the Women’s Center “Lila Villa”, AGUIA e.V. and the International Center for Democracy and Action e.V.


Services

1. Social Learning: Workshops, Seminars, Information Events

In our diverse range of social learning offerings, we provide:

  • Orientation and information dissemination: We support you in finding your way in your new environment and provide you with important information on integration and labor market integration.
  • Teaching training and learning strategies for developing employment-related perspectives: We provide you with targeted training and learning strategies to develop your professional perspectives and increase your chances in the job market.
  • Digital Empowerment I: In this offering, we strengthen your digital competencies and promote your independence in dealing with digital technologies.

2. Activation Measures:

Our activation measures serve to optimally prepare you for the job market. These include:

  • Job market-oriented learning: We provide you with practical knowledge and skills that you need for successful labor market integration.
  • “Peer to Peer” – Learning: The exchange of experiences with other participants enables you to receive valuable mutual support and motivation.

3. Skill Training

In our skill trainings, we offer you targeted courses and training sessions to further expand your competencies. These include:

  • Digital Empowerment II: We deepen your digital skills and support you in further strengthening your digital independence.
  • Communication training: We promote your communication skills to facilitate your exchange and interaction in professional and private environments.
